A Christmas In Skyrim: My first time experience playing Skyrim

Hello, its blogging time again and its Christmas again and for this blog entry today, Im covering something I dont normally do, talk about a game that comes from more recent history:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch. PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC's, with the Nintendo switch port following in 2017.  I think this game needs no introduction, It was critically acclaimed upon release, its sold over 60 million copies world wide and continues to be a staple in gaming and internet culture. Despite seeing gameplay videos online,  other than a short time playing it on my brothers Xbox 360 I had never played it fully myself.

Until Now.

Yes you guessed it, I got the switch version for christmas and Ill be talking about today. So without further ado, Let's get into it!

So first impressions were good, the game set the story off by starting the player bound to be taking to town for execution. however then there was a problem where I didnt jump out the window like I was supposed to and ended up geting lost (This is kinda a recurring theme, we'll get more into that later).

Then I followed the character Ralof freed my hands and lead me to the village of Riverwood. I was also shown the Guardian Stones; THE THIEF STONE, THE MAGE STONE, and THE WARRIOR STONE granting blessings allow skills in those areas to be learned 20% faster than normal (I ended up chosing theif to go in order). we also slayed some animal for some loot!

Once we made it to Riverwood, Ralof sister Gerdur and  after some explanations and backstory, She will tell me to inform the Jarl of Whiterun about the dragon. Before I did that, I took up the characters offer to let me stay in their house to rest up and do it the next day. I also took a look and photos of the sourondings, including this pretty looking moon shot:

Then after a rest, a save game and some food i was iff to Whiterun allong the way i ran into a hourse cart ride and thinking it could take me to whiterun, i rode it and realized i chose the wrong place. on top of that, i was freesing, hand to break into a house for a fire, and ended up stealing fruit for nurishment and ened uo in jail hungry. althought a I coulld have made an escape,  I felt this was a bad impression and i reset to an earlier save, which i did quite a lot.

Afterwards i was given a new mission, to find an accent book called the Dragonstone. But oonce I left town, I realized that it was a long walk however, I did learn  there was ahourse for sale, but it costed 100 coins, therefore triggering my quest to get a horse. I completed a few side quests, some looting and killing a theif and a travels, but managed to get enough. however before i sold the last items for the money i accidentally bought things and lost more money.

but after reloading my saves I finally got my horse, Nnamed Ally.

S what do I think of the game. Well, I like it, there's certainly got a good story like and the map is big to explore, but I kept having trouble selling items and buying them by mistake. Despite that I enjoy it. T

That wraps up this blog entry today, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and as always, Thanks for reading! see you next time!
